GOVERNORS CORNER
It’s been two months since I became Governor and I wanted to
see how things were working. Well I can say this communication
is the key to getting things done. It has been lacking on my part
but that will change. Another thing is that some members don’t
Realize that sometimes we must make a decision that is not liked
by some members. Theses decisions are not made lightly they
are based on information available at that time. We had a good
40th Anniversary party and deep pit. We have started off the
New Moose year with a few stumbles but we are still standing. I
have lot to learn and will strive to follow in Buster Benner’s foot
steps as much as possible. He left a very big pair of shoes to fill.
He had several projects that he wanted to complete however
time ran out and I will keep them alive.
One my goal is to try and get more participation from our
members. One way of doing this is if you have and idea or way
doing something bring to the Board of officers at our general
meeting, not the bar(social quarters) remember lodge business
is discussed at lodge meetings not at the bar. Trust me I will not
be shy if I hear discussion about how thing should be done I will
make sure that you are invited to the next general meeting if you
have something to say then say it there. The social quarter is
for having fun and enjoying ourselves and not for business. We
would like to see some support in kitchen and other areas of the
lodge and on committees.
I would like to thank all those members who have stepped up
and took a position in the Board of Officers and those who have
donate time in helping in so many other areas. To Start On
Monday night thanks to Buster and Skeet for getting burger
night going. Tuesday Night Bob, Dave, Ed, Julie and Gloria for
getting or steak dinners out and delicious , Wednesday Night
Fish Julie again, Thursday Taco’s Thanks To Ann, Bobbie,
Buster , and to our two new Helper Steve and Anna , Friday for
those Night the WOTM have the duty great job ladies and for the
rest of those Friday night Thanks To Gloria and Buster for those
time he got notified at the last minute .Sunday breakfast again
that the Ed, Bob and Dave for cooking the Legion Breakfast
and Butch for shopping and serving and the WOTM for doing
the Sundays we have district meeting and again Buster for all
the rest of the Sundays. Their have many volunteers that I have
probably missed one or two there is Val, Patty, Sharon Le
Master, and Sharon Herdlisky and to all the other I again say
thank you
Let’s have good year ion membership fellowship and working
together as a team we can go Beyond Belief. Which just happen
to be this year’s theme.
